The Chamber Orchestra of Pittsburgh, in collaboration with the Tapestry series at the First Unitarian Church of Pittsburgh, is pleased to announce its upcoming concert, Sounds of Youth. This concert will be the first in our 2017-18 season.
We’re thrilled to keep collaborating with some of the finest soloists, composers and performers in Pittsburgh!
Sunday, September 10th – Sounds of Youth
The performance will be the first concert of our fourth season. It will include a world premier,Up/Down by Pittsburgh-native composer, Hannah Ishizaki currently a senior at Mt. Lebanon High School. Nathan Magley, the winner of our Young Artist’s Concerto Competition will also be performing Mozart’s Concerto for Clarinet in A Major. Our concert will conclude with an arrangement of Kinderszenen (Scenes from Childhood), a touching tribute to the eternal, universal memories and feelings of childhood, by Robert Schumann.
