The Chamber Orchestra of Pittsburgh, in collaboration with the Tapestry series at the First Unitarian Church of Pittsburgh, is pleased to announce its upcoming concert, Sounds of Destiny. This concert will be the second in our 2017-18 season.
We’re thrilled to keep collaborating with some of the finest soloists, composers and performers in Pittsburgh!
Sunday, February 11th, 4pm
Our third concert of the 2017-18 season will feature moving music written for strings. The program features Pittsburgh composer Reza Vali’s Funebre, with Chamber Orchestra of Pittsburgh concertmaster Anne Moskal as soloist. Also on the program are masterpieces of the of the romantic string orchestra repertoire – Leoš Janáček’s Suite for Strings, Gustav Mahler’s Adagietto from Symphony No. 5, and Edward Elgar’s Sospiri.
